1. Upon arrival in Akuressa, a city in the southern province of Sri Lanka, you will be greeted by an English-speaking local representative, who can explain to you the specialties of the factory and its impressive history.
2. Akuressa Tea estate is located in Galaboda. It takes a short, 30 minutes to reach the imposing tea estate from Matara, a major city and commercial hub in Sri Lanka. Akuressa Tea estate is widely recognized as the frontrunners in the production of supreme quality organic green tea on the island. With a fabulous history of more than 80 years as the premium producer of black tea, Akuressa Tea estate still attracts tourists from all over the world.
3. The local representative will demonstrate the massive production process behind the manufacture of high-quality tea, starting from how standard plucking of tea leaves is carried out to the packaging of tea for export to different parts of the world.
